Invite your team and set roles

Workspace admins invite people; each app member gets a role that controls what they can do.

How to invite a team member?

  • Go to Admin console → Users.
  • Enter the person's email .
  • Choose their role — Admin, Builder or Member.
  • Send the invitation
  • They follow the emailed link to set a password and join your workspace.

Workspace roles

  • Admin — Admin manages the workspace access, monitor usage, manage subscription plan and billing, housekeeping, create and manage apps
    • Admin manages the workspace using Admin Console. Only admin users have access to Admin Console.
  • Builder — Builders can create and manage their apps. They automatically become of their created apps. However, they can't delete apps. Only Admin has privilege tyo dele apps.
    • A Builder can be provided access to other apps by their App Owner.
  • Member — Members can access use the apps assigned to them by App Owner
    • A Member is provided access to apps by the App Owner. they can be granted the following App Roles:
      • Owner — full control of the app: data, members, schema, publish, archive.
      • Editor — create and edit records; import and export.
      • Viewer — read-only: view and export.

Good to know

  • A person can be a member or builder of many workspaces but, by default, an admin of only one. Inviting an existing admin as an admin is declined unless the workspace's plan allows multiple workspaces — invite them as a member instead.
  • Workspace Owner is a special type of Admin user and is the single point of contact for the workspace. The person who signs up for the workspace is the Owner of the workspace.
  • All Admin users are assigned App Owner role in all apps in the workspace.
  • Builders users are assigned App Owner role for their created apps or if assigned that role by another App Owner.
  • Workspace roles (Admin, Builder, Member) are different from App roles (Owner, Editor, Viewer). App roles are specific to each app and are assigned to members within the App..
