Copy an app to another workspace
Updated Jun 25, 2026
Use Transfers to send a copy of one of your apps to a different workspace. It's a two-admin handshake — nothing is copied without the destination admin's approval — and your original app is never changed.
Reasons for copy Apps to another workspace
- You are closing a workspace and want to move your apps to another workspace
- You have procured new workspaces for development, test / staging to keep these enviorments isolated from production. You want to copy your workspace to new workspaces for development, staging or testing
- You have procured new workspaces for different business units, regions due to business demands, and you want to copy the apps to re-use them in these new workspaces.
How to copy an app to another workspace?
- Go to Admin console → Transfers.
- Pick the app(s), enter the destination admin's email, then choose the destination workspace.
- Choose whether to include record data and send.
- The destination admin approves the request under Incoming; on approval the app is copied in.
Send a copy
- Go to Admin console → Transfers.
- Pick the app(s), enter a destination admin's email, then choose the destination workspace from the list (an email may administer several).
- Choose whether to include record data and send.
Approve
- The destination admin sees the request under Incoming and approves or declines it. You can cancel a pending request.
- On approval the app is copied in — schema, master data, and (if chosen) records.
Good to know
- The copy must fit the destination's plan limits (apps, forms/dashboards per app, languages). If not, approval is refused until they upgrade or make room.
- Both sides get notifications in Messages for the request, approval, copy, decline and cancel.
- Copying within the same workspace? Use the app card's copy icon instead.
