Build a dashboard from your data

Users can create Dashboards to visualize their App data. Dashboards come from a `Report_` sheet in your workbook. SheetApps turns it into KPI tiles, an interactive pivot and in-app charts.
How to build a dashboard?
- In your workbook, add a `Report_<name>` sheet describing the widgets you want in the dashboard.
- Open the app and click Change app to upload the workbook.
- Open the app's Dashboards to explore — filter, drill down, and resize or reorder widgets.
What is a widget?
- Widgets are the building blocks of the dashboard
- SheetApps support widgets such as:
- measures : used for calculated measures in the dashboard
- kpi : used to render KPI tiles in the Dashboard
- filter : used to create filter dimensions for the dashboard
- chart : used to render charts in the dashboard. Types of charts supported: line, bar, pie, donut, area
- pivot : used to interactive data analysis in a pivot table. users can choose rows, columns, measures and type of calculations for the measures such as sum,average, minimum, maximum, median, count, distinct count
- table : used for tabular display of records
- You define the widgets in the Report_ sheet of the workbook
Multiple Dashboards for your App
- Add new Sheet with naming convention Report_<Dashboard Name>.
- Define the widgets for the dashboard
- Regenerate the App from the workbook - Click on Change App icon on the App tile and then select your workbook to regenerate the app.
- Click on the App tile and click on the Dashboard button
- You will see the new dashboard in a new tab.
Good to know
- All widgets in the Dashboard inherit their scope/ context from filter
- You can also edit the dashboard layout. You can resize, and reorder the widgets.
- You can save the Dashboard view which retains the status of layout and navigation
- Entitlements for number of Dashboards per App is limited by SheetApps Plan features
- Multi-language support can be enabled by maintaining translated values for the widget labels in Translation_ Sheet
